We have been having a problem with some of our clients and their FTP accounts. They are able to logon to the server and sometimes view a few of their directories but they are receiving time out errors or closed connection errors when attempting to access certain directories. We have checked the permissions and they do have the authority to edit their directories in question.

I have deleted the permissions and FTP virtual directories and reset them up again but to no avail.

I have run an anti-virus check (using Avast Server Edition) and have not found any problems reported. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

I have had similar IIS ftp issues with timeouts etc.., setup a range of ftp pasv ports and open the ports on your firewall.

Let me know how it works out
