Plesk installs SQL 2005 (win ver) but I assume an internet facing license is required? Is this correct?

Do you mean Microsoft SQL 2005 Express? This is free. Any other edition requires a license, internet facing or not.

Unless I'm missing something incredibly obvious!!!!

Plesk installs MS SQL 2005 express, (the MSDE equivalent), which does not require a license. If you wish to use a full version of MS SQL 2005 you will need to upgrade it and it does require a license.

Keep in mind that the Express version of SQL 2005 is not licensed for reselling DBs. You need at least Workgroup edition for that.

Which version supports - MS SQL Full Text searching?
I need to upgrade to it on my server as a client requires it
Thanks in advance

All licensed flavors of MSSQL 2005 should support Full Text Search. However, if you are going to use MSSQL 2005 Express, you need to use 'MSSQL 2005 Express with Advanced Services' for Full Text Search support.
