I just had EV1 add a 250 Gig SATA hard drive to my server but I'm not sure the first steps I'm supposed to take to get the server to see the drive. I know how to create file systems and mount drives but the problem is that I don't know if the server is even seeing the drive. I think I'm digging to far but I can't figure the easiest part out....

My server is as follows:
Red Hat Enterprise 3
cPanel
Mirrored 80 Gig Hard drives
Single 250 Gig SATA Drive.

Here is the only things that relate to hard drives in my reboot log that I could find:
2 Time(s): Vendor: ATA Model: WDC WD800JD-75HK Rev: 14.0
1 Time(s): SCSI device sda: 156250000 512-byte hdwr sectors (80000 MB)
1 Time(s): SCSI device sdb: 156250000 512-byte hdwr sectors (80000 MB)
1 Time(s): ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0xFE00 ctl 0xFE12 bmdma 0xFEA0 irq 20
1 Time(s): ata1: dev 0 ATA, max UDMA/133, 156250000 sectors:
1 Time(s): ata1: dev 0 configured for UDMA/133
1 Time(s): ata2: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0xFE20 ctl 0xFE32 bmdma 0xFEA8 irq 20
1 Time(s): ata2: dev 0 ATA, max UDMA/133, 156250000 sectors:
1 Time(s): ata2: dev 0 configured for UDMA/133
1 Time(s): scsi0 : ata_piix
1 Time(s): scsi1 : ata_piix

Any ideas on what to do?

Just an FYI for everybody.... I opened a trouble ticket with theplanet and it was their mistake. They didn't load the drivers for the 3ware controller card that they installed when they added the Hard Drive. After they added the drivers and put in the command to load it on bootup, the drive was discovered and I was able to partition it and mount it.

Glad to see the situation was resolved!
