Full Version: DNS Server keeps crashing

A couple of days ago, our DNS server started turning off and we have to keep monitoring it to turn it back on to serve our customer's websites and email. Nothing on the server has changed and there doesn't seem to be any pattern to why it is happening. The only thing out of the ordinary is that we have a huge number of 7062 errors for a domain name that we no longer host but the nameservers still point to our server. Does anyone have an idea of what we can do to resolve this? Please, we are in a desperate hour here trying to figure this out. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your quick responses and suggestions. Do you know where I can obtain the patch? Is it available at Windows Update?

It should be if one is available. I'm not sure if it's been released yet. Too many patches to keep up with.

No, there isn't a patch yet. They probably won't release one out-of-cycle due to the availability of a workaround.
