I been waiting for a reply from someone on ticket, I thought I should ask you guys.. someone wrote me this.. does that mean I lost everytihng on server? can I recover data?

While trying to investigate the issue of the attack we have noted the server is rebooting in a pattern of about every 2 to 3 minutes. Also of note is a sound that is coming from the server, we believe to be one of the hard drives, this may be the cause of the troubles.

Please let us know if we may proceed with a server swap/restore of the system to correct the hardware issues.

Many of our servers emit an audible beep when there's a problem. The exact problem depends on the type of beep and what message is shown on the server's display if it has one. Most of the time a beep means a drive is failing or a RAID array is degregated. Make backups of your data and work with our support team to get some new drives. icon_smile.gif

It could also be the dreaded sound of the drive heads hitting the platters and throwing the read arm around.

I don't think there are many things I dread more than that sound.
