It has been awhile since I last posted on this forum. I recently purchased another server (since the merger), it has been over 24 hours, and still no word. I remember the day when you had your server on the rack in 2 hours. What made Ev1 were teh people and effort made to accommodate the customer. After a few phone calls it seems that this business philosophy no longer exists. I guess there was a reason why I never ventured away from EV1.

I hope folks here put as much time & energy into listening & communicating with customers as EV1 once did.

Cheers to the old EV1 crew! You guys were awesome!

Miso will you please PM me your ticket number? I'd be happy to check on the progress of your server order.

Any movement on this Brooke? Since I don't have an Orbit login and only a ServerCommand login, I can't login and see the status of the ticket.

48 Hours and Counting and still no movement on a new server purchased. Not even an estimation of delivery. If you are going to place servers for sale on your site, you should have an estimation of delivery based on availablity. I might have changed my mind.

This may be the very thing that makes me jump ship now.

Did you get your server yet? As an EV1 customer since 2001, this new organization is performing abysmally. Sometimes bigger isn't better, and perhaps this is a case.

My latest *bang your head against the wall* adventure is simply ordering 16 IPs. Assignment of the IPs was fairly quick, but the addresses don't work. They are not routed through to my box. So nearly 72 hours later now, all I get in the ticket after prodding is that they are investigating and will update when they find something. Damn frustrating! Now the ticket was locked read-only. Perhaps it will just sit there, auto close in 48 hours and they will wash their hands of the ignored problem.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I have had two support issues with TP so far. The first was not so good, but tonight I got a tech support rep on the phone in just under 8 minutes. It took about 1 1/2 hours total to fix a server problem, including two reboots, but everyone was responsive and polite. Not trying to say everything is peachy in every case by far, but TP obviously does have some people who care and who are trying to do a good job.

Nethead,
I'm pretty sure I found your ticket. You should be all set now. If I did not update your ticket then please PM the ticket to me and I'll get it as soon as I can.

3 Days later and no server and no real meaningful response. I think I get it though. The industry has changed significantly since we started. A company like this will bank on the corportate buck and certainly not have the same philosphy that EV1 had. I bet TP already has corporate deals filling out their Data Centers and eventually will move to lose anyone with less then 10 servers.

Really goes to show you that it is the people who make a company! How many company owners invite you to their home and treat you like a rock star awith VIP treatment.

It is one 1 thing to take 3 days to put a server on the RACK, it is another to poorly communicate and have no way to estimate the time it will take.

Let's see how this all plays out.

Aaron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A friendly old face from EV1!!!!!!
I did, she opened a ticket in orbit and nothing happened.

What a way to treat the first ever walk in client to EV1. I purchased my server & paid my $1 set up right in the office.

What a shame .... really... this is as bad IMHO to see the EV1 brand go!

Aaron can you PM me a phone # that I can give you a call at?

So I'm looking at your account now and it looks like the server is complete and deployed. Have you been able to access it?

Hey! The corner of my old desk is barely visible in the bottom right of that picture. Ah, memories. Aaron were we really ever that young?
