Your problem is that you probably have the http server enabled. The http web admin is a security nightmare. To secure your server

1) Disable http web admin via cortex then restart your server.

2) Be careful who you make channel and server admins.

You do those 2 things and you won't get hacked anymore. If you need to admin your server via the http admin, enable it, restart your server, do what you have to do, then disable it, restart your server again. NEVER leave it on.

Just go download the new ts_engine.exe

TeamSpeak 2 Server (Updated Executable)
SHA1: 2228a101bb19ec22a73c77bae879713d2427c975
MD5: bb17979a34d1afd2b1cdf413ea8ebb95 2.0.23.15 BETA 0.42 MB Site 1

http://goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads

unzip it-
get the server.exe or whatever the exe was named--
place that in the /engines folder for your TS
then for existing instances that already have TS installed
just overwrite the old exe with this new one--
(if you get a permission denied error, etc.. Just shut down the TS your trying to update)

restart your TS instance, and you'll be up2date.
Been running mine that way for a couple months now-- no issues- and I have about 60 TS instances or so installed)

same with linux, just get the server.bin

OK I just tried this and it said file uploaded successfully but at the top of cortex it said that could not upload as the config file is in use with cortex I did shut the TS off be for I tried to upload the exe file then i restarted the TS server but it is still the same old ver any thoughts on this also how do I get into the engine folder can this be done through ftp ?

Don't do it via FTP- icon_smile.gif

use remote desktop if it's windoz platform.

use IE / Firefox on the remote desktop
download the new ts.exe (server.exe) to the remote desktop

then unzip/self - extract it.
then copy paste to the dir's (you only need the server.exe file that get's unzipped)

if you're trying the built-in POS ftp that comes with cortex, sorry can not help ya there. I disabled that on mine, and use a regular 3rd party ftp.
filezilla server for windows and proftpd for my linux.
