I read through eth00's ServerIronXL quick start guide and am trying to set up Layer 7 switching on our slb. We want mysql.domain.com to go to only the first webserver. We assigned the first real server port (http) a group ID of 1. I set the URL map to "mysql" witht he prefix option and deefault action is group ID 1 on TCP port 80.

When I go to the mysql.domain.com address, it still balances between both servers. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

It can be hard to say without looking at the LB itself. Do you have another binding on the load balancer that it might be triggering?

All it has right now are two load balanced IPs with 2 servers each. I setup one and only one real server port to the group ID range "from 1 to 1" (so just 1). I then went to the URL Map and added as I described above. I don't believe there is anything else that could prevent this from working.

I also added several different matches with "mysql" and even "/phpmyadmin" and moved it to thar falder for testing purposes. I tried prefix, suffix, pattern, and no results.
