hi,
when purchasing and installing ssl certificate, is the "common name" field case sensitive? can i write it www.Example.com or must i write www.example.com?

I believe it is supposed to be case-insensitive. However, there appear to be many reports in google where it turns out to be case-sensitive. I can think of no good reason for entering www.Example.com so go lower-case and you won't have any problems or incompatibilities with obscure browsers etc.

Yes, Starfield Tech told me all lowercase.

i had searched google but found no results related to my dilema. on all of my promo material i plan to use mixed case in the address so i wanted to make sure there is no compatibility issues with ssl. anyway, i'll take your advice and write common name field in lowercase, just to be on the safe side.
