Hi all,

I know the difference between a RAID and a SCSI server, but what´s the difference with a SAS server?

Thanks in advance, Simon.

I think the original poster really meant PATA :: SATA as SCSI :: SAS

IDE is an old term that people use by tradition to describe, I guess, the interface of PATA and SATA drives. I don't really know if there's anything deeper to it.

SAS drives are pretty sweet. You can fit at least 2 SAS drives in the same space that 1 PATA or SATA used to occupy.
