Im currently looking at two different servers just wondering how they stack up? Do you have any comments or experience with either server if so what would you recommend? Also what i plan on running off the server i go with is 2 sites ive made with php/sql with about 50 users on each. Would the below servers suit those needs?
AMD Athlon64 3000 s939
Versus
Intel 2.4GHz Celeron Processor
Thanks for the responces

Well either would suit your needs so if I was buying based on that, I'd choose the one least expensive. However, that may not grant you room to expand so if the price difference isn't that much, I'd opt for the faster one IF and ONLY IF you plan to expand beyond your current requirements and can justify the cost.
Almost any (new) chip will be faster than a Celeron but you won't easily be able to match its price. Celeron machines, atleast for me, work well as download servers where all it does is store files. Pure and simple. As for a database server, since you only gave the AMD and Intel (celeron) option, I'd choose the AMD.

nForcer, just so happens the AMD is $10 cheaper then the Celeron from here(theplanet). So guess ill go with the AMD. It has a 120GB HD aswell compared to the 80 with the Value Series

There is a lot more to the quality of a server than the cpu speed and hard drive capacity alone that will define both it's speed, stability, and your happiness with it.
