seriously kevin...getting BFROE to administrate the servers will be the biggest mistake you have done for these servers. if you wanna get admins...get one that you will trust..from what i believe and hear from bf2s...indianscout is just a power hungry asshole looking for attention. i mean seriously...bfroe, myis, tried to get in bf2rs. and from what i read on these forums bfroe has been nothing but trouble to players since they came and banning people for joking around and HAVING VULGAR LANGUAGE IN THEIR SCREENIES. man. the servers were fine before admins came(although i never played in it yet since the admins came). tk'ing in the servers was natural...you'd just say "ok" then tk them back. insomnia servers were fine the way they were even with all the tk'ers. either get someone you know and trust or dont get anyone at all.

as server admins if I allow you to lock your squad so you can solo in a helo I am in breach of the ROE and I wont do that..

Okay. Here is my problem. I have a nice computer that usually gets me on the map first when it reloads. I get the cobra first, and take off, then take out the havoc. I'm not letting the private that spawns on TV station roof next in the chopper. They can't even right click.

But as 2.3.1 says, you can't say that people below the rank of Colonel(or whatever rank) can be in the vehicles or you will kick them. That rule applies strictly to server admins. It doesn't say that players can't have one-man locked squads. I can see that if I were to TK or redline somebody, but since I spawn first, or there is nobody on the pad? That's bullshit.

Jabomb, you have not been inhibited from posting on our forums by any stretch of the imagination. I have just checked with our forum staff, no one has banned you or restricted your posting access.

i dont have my own servers because insomnia sharqi WAS a better place to play with some people i know in this game until bfroe came. and about what kevin told him to do...what did he tell them to do then? i dont believe he told indianscout to enforce any rule he wants(which he is doing by the looks of posts on here). i am pretty sure he just gave him access to "rcon" to kick/ban people for tk'ing, glitching and hacking. then all of a sudden the admin access is given and he changes it to BF2CC and everything and adds his own rules/

I just don't see the need for my topic to be locked. I made it for the TKers to have something done about them. But what do I get instead? People on my back about how I modify my game.

I don't have any problem with BFROE, but you guys need to focus on the TKers and hackers, rather than making/enforcing gay little rules to make it 'fair for all players'. Life isn't fair. None of us who started playing on Insomnia had this 'luxury' People need to learn and adapt to their environment. It's beginning to become like a clan server, which is why I started playing on Insomnia, because it wasn't like one. It had no petty rules.

All ranked servers including I365's are subject to the ROE. Who better to admin our servers than the ones who wrote it? The ROE guys are here not just to sit on the mountain of TK'ers and glitchers/padders/hackers that were on the servers, but to enforce fair gameplay. Yes, that means you have to watch your mouth a bit. From what I've seen of their work they give a fair amount of leeway on the language and only take action when someone is being an outright ass.

EA wants the ranking community to abide by specific quality standards. If you want to go spout constant racial slurs at whoever killed you then do it on an unranked server.

As for BFROE's treatment of their forums, thats their business and I don't want to get into that. I don't lock or edit stuff here, and if you feel like yelling at someone my door is always open. If you really need to unload on someone then PM me your racial slurs and pent up agressions. I have thick skin.

It's funny. I notice that all the hate toward BFROE lately has been from the guys who either weren't around back when it was just me running the show, or the ones who were used to how I under-admined the servers. From my perspective BFROE is doing a fantastic job, and they're sticking around. You guys need to deal with it.

YOU"RE MISINTERPRETING RULE 2.3.1!

It says that SERVER ADMINISTRATORS can't make/enforce rules that prevent players from being in a vehicle. It says nothing about players doing it. I don't see anything in the ROE that says that people can't have one-man locked squads. Like I said, if I redlined/TKd people to be alone in the chopper then kick/ban me. But I don't do that. If one-man squads are so wrong and selfish, why did DICE make it possible?

If cars have the ability to run over people then why are they built? That's spurious logic. Again, if you want to keep people out of jeeps or choppers or whatnot then do it on an unranked server. Ranked servers conform to gameplay standards.

But, you, as an admin can't make rules like that. That's all 2.3.1 is stating. You're not preventing any player from using a vehicle.

insomnia servers are not yours...you were only given admin access to clean it up. i have done nothing in-game to deserve a ban. so banning me immediately because i came to play would be admin abuse. so once i report you through ea customer support go ahead and make your little excuses to them.

soloing is NOT a breach. nor is locking your squad.
if someone gets in the helo when i get in,so be it. no one is stopping them from getting in, just not allowing them in squad. your twisting the bfroe rules and adding your own thoughts into them.

i lock a squad because i dont want idiots in my squad that are not working with me. i also join a squad to not get team switched when i die. usually helps. being a helo whore that i am and jabomb or whoever...we are better off without some new player joining the squad spawning on you and the m-ging tanks and tving infantry. you need to quit adding rules.

Ok, this is getting a little nuts. If you want to yelll at each other please do it via PM. I365's position is BFROE stays. We're keeping our forums open, but this sniping back and forth stuff has to go. That goes for all of us, forum regulars, I365 staff, players, and BFROE admins.

I'm not keeping anybody out of the chopper. I'll gladly let somebody in at the beginning of the round if I have no choice. I don't have any problem with that whatsoever. But if I get the chopper first and nobody else is there, you expect me to just sit on the pad and wait for somebody to get in? Or if my gunner gets too many TKs, high ping, or anything else that causes him to get kicked/leave the chopper, I'm not going to go pick somebody up. I don't think that's a violation of the ROE.

lets say your in the helo with a locked squad, you have no flags left..

the only spawn left is the one man helo squad leader..

now should this or should this not be allowed..

there is also another rule in the ROE that states.

by locking your squad do you feel you are limiting weapon or vehicle, and are you also causing team loses by not allowing your team mates to spawn on you..

WOW INDIAN ARE YOU KIDDING? if you have no flags nobody can spawn on you at all even if you are the only person left as a squad leader, you just continue to dig yourself in a deeper hole bud. you cant even join squads while your dead anymore anyways

No. I do not feel that I am hindering my team because two people in a chopper cannot cap a flag in a capped-out sharqi. Even if I got out and let five(assuming I had a full squad)people get out and spawn on me and try to cap a flag, with 32 MEC players vs 5 USMC players, it is hopeless.

And like the others said, you can't spawn under those circumstances anyway.

Just because you don't see servers under BFROE doesn't mean their not there. We don't make up rules just to piss players off we follow the ROE and must do a great job as we have alot of backing from the BF2/2142 community. As I've stated before that alot of Insomnia players just sit and whine due to having to follow rules this is their right but it sure makes for alot of unproductive time sitting here writing this when we all could be playing.
