Can anyone tell me the MAX instances of COD 2 that I can run on the Insomnia P4-3.4ghz with 1024MB PC3200 ram and still provide smooth lag free gaming?
Thanks for any reliable information you can provide me.

I've never run the P4 3.4, but I'd say probably around 64-100 slots?

I think 100 is pushing it. depending on how many instances you want, but i'd say 2 servers running 30-to 35 players max in each. i think you're cpu will be your limiting factor and maybe your ram. each server, when full, will probably use up about 250 MB ram.
but, I maybe wrong..

CPU's still the timiting factor when it comes to the 3.4 and COD2. Assuming you're not running any funky mods I'd say in the 64-96 slot range, depending on the config.

Thanks for the prompt replies as I really do appreciate it.
Can you recommend me a server capable of 4 Instances of COD2 each at 24 players?

The brand new EEG-P3060D would suit your needs plenty. With dual cores you could put two instances on each core. Heck you could probably pull off two 32 player instances per core, but that you would have to stress test to determine.
Also with that server you would have loads of RAM, which wouldn't be a problem anymore.

My next question is about bandwidth consumption.
Just guessing how much bandwidth would 1 instance of COD 2 @ 24 players consume a month?

If that is all you are running but by judging from previous posts I would say thats not true.
My 20 player instance of COD2 goes through very little a month. It is not busy enough to give you an accurate estimate.
My next best guess would be 120GBs.
