Assistance is much appreciated here. I have a cert installed in plesk through the "server" section. It installed properly, and is now set as the default for the panel. I am using the domain https://www.cardwellcreative.com, which works fine and establishes the secure connection without complaint. When I try to access the panel through https://www.cardwellcreative.com:8443, though, I get a cert error in many browsers. I was under the impression that when comparing the url to the one on the cert, that the browser didn't care about what port you are using. I'm stumped.

I'll throw in a wild guess here,

Could it be that your logo at the top of the plesk page is linking to a non https page?

The CP ssl cert is not the same as a user domain cert.

Hmm. Well, the logo link url thing wasn't it. Gbock: thanks for your input. I read the documents you linked to, and as best I can tell, I have followed the instructions there to a T. My cert was installed as the CP cert in the "server" section, not at the user domain level. Can you be more specific about what you mean by "The CP ssl cert is not the same as a user domain cert"? Thanks.

One more thing I noticed: https://www.cardwellcreative.com:8443 works fine on windows IE6 and (it did work) on firefox before I upgraded to v.2. I also noticed that when I examine the cert on browsers that throw the error message, they seem to be missing the CA part (which I can see when I examine the cert in browsers that "accept" the cert).

One more thing I noticed. If I use the URL https://www.cardwellcreative.com:443, the browsers throw no cert errors. (But obviously, I don't get the plesk CP.)
