Hello Everyone,
I am looking to start a gsp with The Planet, however, I want to offer hourly game server rates. Would there be a way to set this up through cortex? Also, what billing programs integrate with cortex and are there instant setups or do I have to do it manually?

Best Regards,
Chris

I know it has modernbill support now.

I have not seen this feature in COrtex....yet

You would prolly have to monitor and control the time frame manually for now.

You might be able to use the API to flip servers off and on but you would have to use a fair amount of custom coding to do so.

Is there some sort of program I can use to schedule tasks, and use that (along with some custom coding) to setup/remove game servers at the right time?

Well there is cron for Linux and Scheduled Tasks for Windows. However, I'm not postitive if API can do this, check here. http://dev.insomnia365.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

However, if you can't do any forum of coding, I wouldn't exactly try this.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Does anyone know if I can setup a cron job to control cortex, if so, do I need any custom coding?

Thanks Again,
Chris

Cron can possibly do it (I don't know the internals of Cortex to know) but your going to have to create the system that makes the cron jobs and such.

I was thinking about setting up the cron jobs manually at first and once I get more orders, have an automated program that can calculate open slots and such.

A cron job that sends API calls to Cortex sounds like the way to go. icon_smile.gif
