I recently purchased this dedicated server.
I have a cpanel cmove restore file from the shared host I was with, and I would like to know if there is anything I need to do to cpanel before I restore it.
Thanks in advance for the assistance.

I'd suggest taking a look through the WHM documentation.
http://www.cpanel.net/docs/whm/
You'll find it's pretty useful for the more basic scenarios, this included.

How do I log into Cpanel under "Root"?
I have tried every password, and cannot get in. Do I log into the cpanel of the account I am trying to restore on Cpanel?
I log into WHM under "Root" and try to restore, and it is telling me there is no restore file. How do I put the file in /home????
I am totally fricken lost here. I have tried everything.
The restore file is here: /(Current Folder)
Is this not home?
Thanks for any help here, and I'm sure you have guessed, I am a newbie.

'/' is the "root" directory in the UNIX filesystem. You will need to move the file into the '/home' directory.
ex:
mv /your_file.tar.gz /home/

I am using Filezilla
I am trying to login under root, and keep getting the message:
Connected;
Waiting for Welcome Message;
Timeout Detected
Unable to Connect
Waiting Retry
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong here?

What protocol are you using to login (FTP, SSH, etc.)?

Gee. What do you know, I was trying FTP. I have now switched it to SSH and the transfer is in progress, after I created a /home directory.
I am pretty sure this will get done what I need.
After all I have been through, it took a simple question to get my head out of my *** and figure out I was as dumb as I thought.
I will let you know if this works.
Thanks a lot for the help here.
