The Planet-EV1Servers today announces the availability of new Opteron 2212 and Tower Woodcrest servers. New RAID and upgrade options on tower chassis Woodcrest servers, and faster Opteron processors and support for newer architectures, like Socket F DDR2 RAM.

This server line offers faster performance than previous Opterons with 1000MHz Front Side Bus, DDR2 memory, SATA II/SAS hard drives and 64-bit support. Support for up to 6 hard drives vs. 2 from the previous model and additional RAID configurations (RAID 1/5/10 vs. only RAID 1 currently).
