Hi;

I'm a newbie in this newtwork stuff and getting a hard time to setup a firewall on our servers.

After ask ThePlanet support which IP's and ports i should open on the firewall to the monitoring systems work properly, they gave me a list with IP address like this:

67.19.0.0/24 (67.19.0.*)

Since I'm new to this, I don't know if it means all and every IP started with "67.19.0" like 67.19.0.101, 111, etc, or if I am missundersting it.

Well, I asked to the support guys but the answer didn't help me:

"Every IP in the netblock 12.96.160.0/24."

Could someone help me with this (simple) question?

Thanks in advance.
Kyle
67.19.0.0/24 is in CIDR notation. It stands for the network 67.19.0.0 with a 24-bit subnet mask (255.255.255.0). So, basically 67.19.0.1 - 67.19.0.254 is the range you'd want to exclude in your firewall.
