Hi;

I installed a Firewall on my Windows 2003 Server and it's working well (until now - 2 days).

But i noticed that the BMSS.exe is sending packs to 192.168.1.3 and 67.19.46.71 through port 8197.

Now the question is: What is this and do I need it?

The 67.19.46.71 is an IP reserved for me to use on this machine (they usually give us 10 IP's for each server), however, when i click on the TCP/IP properties, there are just 2 IP's:

67.19.46.66
67.19.46.68

So, I assume (with my limited knowledge) that the ".71" is not being used by this server.

What about the 192.168.1.3 ?
Where is it comming from? Should I allow full acess to this one since it looks like an internal thingie?

I really appreciate any help and comments.

Thanks in advance

I would check to see if you have your pnet card enabled. Even if you do not have pnet registered and an IP address assigned then make certain that there are not any 192.168.0.0 addresses bound to the server in any way.
