Running RHEL3 and Plesk 7.5.4 reloaded. Need to obtain an SSL cert for credit card processing, but since I have only a few per month need to keep cost down. Also needs to be Plesk compatible.

Any experience with any or recommendations?

TIA

Well, Certificates should be non-dependent on the control panel you use. As long as the web server supports it, it should work.

With that said, the StarterSSL which The Planet offers at $14.95/year is not a bad deal. I did not have trouble with it at all.

I second what Eddy said, the StarterSSL is very cheap and was very easy and quick to purchase and install. Well worth the money.

I've actually used it with the various corporate websites where CEOs and top executives of major corporate submit their particulars and not a complain with the StarterSSL that I've used.

Try to avoid those Chained SSL because they can be a pain to install and not worth a few dollars saved.

Thanks to all... I ordered the StarterSSL certificate and after much trouble with install finally got it working. The instructions were not clear, plus it's my first time installing a cert.

Now, to top it off a few hours after the cert was installed my server went down with a bad h/d. So now as I await the o/s reload and DiskSync recovery I'm wondering will I need to reorder the cert, or just upload the old CSR/KEY/CERT via Plesk?

just upload the old CSR/KEY/CERT via Plesk.
