I am badly in need of help with my openssh problems. I am running RHat Enterprise v.4 for my server(Apache, bugzilla, cvs, mysql, openssh, etc.)I've installed cygwin, cvs, ssh client on my windows xp client. I run the ssh-keygen to generate the key and place it in the right folder on my Linux server. when I try to test it to see if it's working, it does not remember the password. It is still prompting me to type in the password. It is telling me that the SSH-keygen thing is not working. Can someone help me please? Thanks.

Where did you place the key on your server? Also, is there a particular reason you used cygwin?

I place the id_rsa.pub key file in /home/danm/ directory for my developer, dan. We used cygwin because dan wants to run unix on windows. Do you have any suggestion to use other than cygwin?
Thanks.

I am currently printing, downloading, and installing them. I'll let you know the outcome. Thanks.
