Full Version: Sett up redirect/error messages in cpanel for add-on domains

Hello...

Has anyone set up redirect and/or error pages on the addon domains... the error pages and redirect pages seem to be set for the root account, but there doesn't seem to be any way to access the add-on domains to set up the error messages(404.shtml etc...)

Any help would be appreciated...

thanks,
David

It's not possible with CPanel has it doesn't treat the add-on or parked domains in the same ranking as the main account.

There is two options, move the add-on account to its own main account or to add a .htaccess file in the addon folder to include the 404 directive

See http://www.washington.edu/computing/web/pu...g/htaccess.html

thanks...for the help...

I think we found another solution.... we just FTP'd the 404.shtml file directly to the root directory of the add-on domain.... and it seems to work fine....
