Hi, i am custumer of servermatrix for 2 yers, and now i purchise my first TC P2800 (that on special yesterday) and i found 2 eth on the server, is it normal?

The eth0 is a internal number and the eth1 is the public interfalce. The strange is that my kernel is showing this logs all the time:

CODE

The P2800 is connected to the RLX interface network on a private NIC (that is used for monitoring plus remote management from Orbit). The other is obviously your public NIC.

Yep, Ifconfig eth0 down

For extra security, ifconfig eth1 down.

sorry my bad english, i didnt understand...

Should I run Ifconfig eth0 down and Ifconfig eth1 down ? but this both comand will not stop the connection with server?

Yes it will stop the connection with your server. It was a joke...a bad one. icon_confused.gif

I've had those same messages on my P2800 and can be ignored. If you do feel there is a problem, you can open a support ticket with TP to ensure nothing is wrong.

Rabbit was being facetious. Don't run either of those commands. icon_smile.gif
