I got a dedicated server a few weeks ago and ever since I got it DNS has not been working properly.

Sometimes pages would resolve, some times they wont.
The pages I got on it now are:
http://www.excalibursystems.net
http://support.excallibursystems.net
http://www.orionsgateonline.com
http://forums.orionsgateonline.com
http://anthony.excalibursystems.net

I have never been able to resolve all the hostnames on the server at the same time. Sometimes one would work then other's wouldn't and vice versa.

I am using ns1 and ns2.excalibursystems.net for the nameservers on all these domains.

Anyone got any idea's on how I can fix this? Customer's are starting to get impaitent and I've tried everything I can.

All the domains work for me except the sub-domain support.

It's hard for me to say more without more details, a dns guru might be able to help you more though.

I feel your pain though as I've been yanking hair the last 48 hours trying to get my own dns issues resolved.

I am also running cPanel.

I've put in a support ticket again. The first time they were asking for trace routes that showed no problems route to the IP but unable to resolve to the domains.

Still no answer on this support ticket :/

I checked the DNS of your first listed domain only, and it seems like there are some serious inconsistencies in your zone file. The others may suffer from the same. Have a look at DnsReport.

Just wondering: why are you using one IP for two name servers?
