Does anyone know if you can setup a virtual directory outside of the users home directory from within Plesk?

I know how to do this manually, but was hopeing plesk would support it (the whole point of going plesk..lol)

As far as I know, that is not possible. The only way to set that up would be to do it manually.

Well crap, I had the very same question and hoped that someone in here would have a way to do it. The ploblem with doing it outside of Plesk is that there is no way to use the Plesk FTP account to access the virtual directory. So you have to use a separate FTP account to access the virtual directory which means my users would have to use two separate FTP accounts.

I've noticed that when I do create the virtual directory oustide of Plesk, it DOES show up in the Virtual Directory section within the users account in Plesk, but there is no way to add an alias or anything to the directory so that it will show up in FTP.

Anybody found a work a round for this?
