So lreese and I are here "testing" a FEAR server we just set up in Cortex (new release coming soon!) on an internal development box. While we're running about and making sure everything is working how it should we start getting outside users from the outside world connecting to our server with a private IP. They're still there playing as a matter of fact. We're not doing any kind of port forwarding or silly firewall/router tricks. Has anyone else run into this before? It's the weirdest thing.

Oh. Our test box is a Celeron 2.4. This 16 man FEAR server has 8 people in it, it's using only 16M RAM, and about 25% CPU. We have an empty server using only 3M of RAM. This thing should be a breeze for you guys to host. icon_smile.gif

Well, the server is full with 16 players now, here's the stats on the server above:

~43% cpu 17mb ram
30098 Bytes in/sec, 99788 Bytes out/sec

Wow!

Now only if other servers used to little RAM. I guess it is a trade off for CPU usage.

Note that our test box is a 2.4 Celeron, way underpowered compared to you guys' systems. You should see better CPU use on your I365 servers. icon_smile.gif

Very nice, If usage is that low, Ill probally have to put a fear server up just to see how it runs on a Dual Xeon icon_biggrin.gif.
