Is it possible to run a graphical interface to a Red-Hat server at SM? If this is possible, is it prossible/practical to run this interface across the network with something like RealVNC?
Thanks!

Certainly, and the packages to run a GUI are all available through up2date, but you'll save precious cycles and RAM without it. You can do all you need to run a server via a shell prompt.

As klaude said, it's possible, but unless you really need it, don't even install it. It'll just slow your server down. If you need it to administrate your server, consider learning the bash commands required for atleast basic administration and get a control panel like Plesk or cPanel (but these are NOT replacements to a proactive administrator!)

I got the message! I'm already using Plesk and will stick to this and the shell.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction (away from this idea!)!
