All of a sudden since the 14th of October, ORBIT is reporting approximately 2x the actual usage of bandwidth on 3 servers I rent from them.
the boxes run game servers, and have had virtually the same usage everyday for the past 6-7 months and now all of a sudden they have double even trippled!
I advice everyone to check thier orbit ASAP and look at your powerstat grpahs, something is going on and ThePlanet is acting like nothing happened and I just decided to start using tripple the bw.

Thats ok, I somehow managed to use up almost a whole gige line...
TO_INTERNET
Max: 679.51 Mbits/s
Avg: 13.83 Mbits/s
Cur: 13.60 Mbits/s
Total: 55.1 Gbits/s"
(on a 10mbit/s line)
LOL, They said there working on it...I've seen a few posts about it so far. They said that text "in" the graph is correct, not the one on top of the graph.

YOU GUYS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I've been telling everyone to check their bandwidth graphs.
Not only are some of your speeds wrong, but the TOTAL bandwidth reported is inflated beginning from October 14.
For a minute, the SM guys thought I was crazy, and were saying that the switches were correct.......
Luckily I always run bandwidth monitor programs on my box.

Yes. You are all correct. Duplicate data was being inserted into the bandwidth data. These duplicates are being removed currently, and all should be "normal" within the next hour or two.
Thanks...

The bandwidth calculation problems have been resolved. It took a bit longer than expected, and we apologize for the inconvenience.
If anyone believes there is still an issue with their bandwidth graphs/numbers, please do not hesitate to open a ticket and/or call support.
Thank you.

My numbers are ok, but the units listed are all 'per second'
Instead of my server using 22 gigabytes so far this month, the graph text says it used 22 Gbits/s.
Sorry about entirely maxing out the entire facility's bandwidth guys! :-)

Yup. We're aware of that issue as well. Been that way for such a long time, I was beginning to wonder if anyone cared
Hopefully that'll be fixed by the end of the week as well.

Only when we get the bill
...wonder what 22 Gbit/second would cost me?

22gbit/s is just a minor typo............. compared to using 22gb and it showing 44gbit/s !!
