Hi guys,
I've been working on my Hosting Company for more then two years and really built something that I am proud of. However, I'm finding that the Hosting Business really is'nt something I plan to make a career out of or even a side-job of.
It would be all fine and dandy to sell my company off to the highest bidder, but I know most of my clients and they area really good webmasters who depend on my to provide quality service. Additionally, if I was to sell to a poor company I would lose quite a lot of respect.
So I've been biding my time the last 3-Months, "cleaning" things up, getting old debt's repaid and overall trying to find the best possible way to sell the company without damaging any of my clients possessions. I am in no rush to sell, so expansion and stuff has continued and will continue if I can't sell.
Basically I am looking for a well-established company/person to aquire my company & it's assets.
I'll just provide some rough stats for now, more detailed stats will be provided once I talk with the person I've selected.
EDIT: SOLD!
I'd prefer you keep the server & users on it if possible, since about 20 of the Clients were moved last month to consolidate another server.
EDIT: SOLD!
I am asking for $1,000 even. No more, no less. I would be looking for 1/2 ($500) upon confirmation of the sale and 1/2 ($500) within 1-Month of the completion of the sale/transfer.
That is about 3x Monthly Earnings assuming that some customers choose to leave.
I will provide additional Details upon request, such as payment type. I would like to recieve any inquiries via PM.
I will only be selling to a well-established forum member, since nearly all of you are great guys, with more then enough expierence to make this a solid transfer.

A lot of us will want to know;
how many are yearly paid accounts? and when do they come up for renewal?
Server costs $2688 per year, so thats ~ $167 profit per month. $4 profit per customer per month, is this correct?

Those stats do not seem that attractive to me. For a margin of less than $200, you are responsible for 40 clients. You'd be better off mowing lawns. I can understand why you want to get out of the business.
Your deal seems to be more potentially attractive to someone already in the hosting business looking to get 40 new clients. I think that's where the value is of what you're selling.

Unless my math is wrong, that works out to be about $10 per client per month, which is a heck of a lot better than some of the other companies I see up for sale.

I'll post more detailed stats, but the margins on most clients are pretty solid with most customers starting at $10 and rising up to $50/Month.
And more importantly the server is only around 1/2 of it's capacity with quite a lot of room to grow.
I'll be contacting those interested over the course of today.
EDIT: Also, Forgot to mention the majority of Yearly Accounts are coming up for renewal I will post exact stats tonight, but it comes to about 1/2 the Clients on a Monthly Basis & 1/2 the Clients on a Yearly Basis.

**UPDATE**
I've narrowed things down to "5" People, who will get a more in-depth proposal from me shortly. Although everyone has been receptive at the $1,000 Level I may Drop the Price to $800 since a Person is purchasing a prepaid year at $250 right now and so it's only fair with a pending sale to most likely discount the total quote.
However, Looking at my records nearly all of my prepaid accounts come up for renewal in the next 3-Months so I will find out check the outstanding bills and see what the most appropriate course of action is.

Just providing another Update, I am currently accepting no additional "contacts" from people and will work with the current people to find the best person to go with.
Have a great labor weekend, I will contact people on Monday/Tuesday when things have calmed down
