Full Version: Disable urchin?

On one of my domains urchin has built up a stats log 200mb large!

I don't need all these stats, is there a way to disable urchin? I am running a cpanel celeron 2.4 matrixextreme server.

go to /usr/local and rm -rf urchin/

to remove all the urchin dirs for your users
rm -rf /home/*/tmp/urchin

then pico -w /etc/rc.local and remove urchin entry

I'd like to remove Urchin from my server as well ... are the above steps all that I'd need to do? Do I need to stop Urchin from running first, or reboot afterwards, or anything like that? (Sorry if this is a dumb question I'm not really an expert icon_lol.gif)

Also ... is this "normal" behavior for Urchin, that the log files will just keep growing until they use up all available space? I mean, one of the domains hosted on my server gets basically no traffic at all, and over the past few months the urchin logs have grown to 80megs+!?
