I'm thinkng seriously about installing
turck-mmcache-2.4.6
,but it may be a new version,available,that you know of
also,
any one has any opinion on this program?
for example somebody already using it ...

turck mmcache has been pretty much changed into eAccelerator. I was working with it lately and love it.

I also added it to my program to easily install it if you want:

I just noticed that, too. Looks like their site is down.

Anyway, you can google instructions to install it on a cpanel or non-cpanel server (forget where I saw them).

I used Blue|Fusion's script and it was very easy to install eAccelerator. I seem to like it on my server too.

Use Zend Performance Suite, but used Turck before that and it performed very similarly. One thing I didn't like was having to obtain a new version of the extension with each release of PHP however.
