My BF2 unranked server disconnects after I ran the patch thorugh CORTEX. It starts then seems to go down a few minutes after being up. It starts and I can see when I search for servers then boom it is gone. I check in CORTEX and sure enought eh server seems to be down because the RCON is greyed out.

Any ideas?

what is the update? there isn't a new patch out as far as I know.

If you uninstall bf2 and reinstall it on cortex, it installes the current bf2 version.

Uninstall it and reinstall it. When I set up my unranked server in cortex, we had no issues. (Well besides the random dropping of people during matches..)

I'll save you the trouble. In the little place called #servermatrix filled full of brits, scottish, americans, klaudes and random sort of wankers, Rabbit was on discussing the fun that is going to be his new linux box. Since we all know Rabbit's opinion of using Linux for anything (unless it's cpanel or something specialized for linux, f*** off), Rabbit drops in some ticket number. Well about 2 minute later (time it takes kevin to lookup tickets) that random so unlike kevin outburst erupts. It was quite comical.

Also, I'm pondering how dynamic your sig is. /me runs off to start deploying servers to find out.

For anyone else wanting to join us, point your IRC client at irc.sm-irc.info, room #servermatrix.

It's dynamic both ways, not just up but also down. The sig itself polls every ten minutes. The backend game count polls every couple of hours I think.
