BF2CC Control seems to be much more of a top priority than the VoIP plugin for BF 2 Ranked.. any ETA on anyhting at this point.. its really putting me at a disadvantage

Somehow, and I hope I don't jinx myself, but my server was set up just yesterday with the ranked OS reinstall and VoIP is functioning on it perfectly. So BF2CC is still what I'm holding out on. As using Rcon via Cortex is terribly cumbersome.

Super Easy RCON... Click and Kick... You gotta love it. This is what I'm using until BF2CC support is offered by I365.

And please don't use the server port. Use the RCON port which is 4711 in almost all cases.


BF2CC should be on the top of the list. I've got 10-20 donators that I give limited admin powers to for their money sent. I can't give them anything right now because I don't want them turning the server literally upside down with full RCON admin rights. BF2CC has an easy hierarchical admin setup that I miss from when my server was unranked. Its so easy to cancel peoples admin rights from abuse, lack of donations, etc. I just miss it.

This is the last thing I need on my Ranked Server... except for ATC for BF2 (www.foolishentertainment.com)

BF2CC is still in beta now but they are close I think/hope.
Any chance getting BF2CC installed in the ranked servers?

Currently looking into a ranked BF2 server and this is a must have on my list.
Very easy to install and works great even in the beta form.

I ran another program to restart the server before the BF2CC came out
for my unranked server. Question, if you have a ranked server from I365
and the server crashes is there a auto restart installed?

you can upload the Admin Scripts for bf2cc client using the bf2 file browser. you will need to do this before installing the BF2 Ranked Plugin. after that plugin is installed, you cannot use the file browser any longer. (Thanks to EA).

I have done this on 2 of my ranked servers. It's just 3 files you have to upload to the admin folder.

Yeah, Cortex will auto restart the server.

And you're using BF2CC without any issues?

That is what I did and it works great....

RCON only works since the daemon needs to be executed server side.

We're looking into getting this working in daemon mode. This will be in the next update. I can't give an ETA, but things are looking good.

How do you get into or access the BF2 file browser? This is a seperate utility?

Just click on the Instances and if the server is not ranked (without Ranked plugin) there should be a little Browse files icon.

However this is interesting. I am using the newest version of BF2CC that requires modmanager. Modmanager appears to work fine if you do not have the ranking plugin installed/enabled. If you have the ranking plugin working you'll get an error message from the BF2CC stating that you do not properly have the scripts installed.

I can only assume that something with the BF2 rankings plugin disables third party scripts like modmanager.

Any ideas?

When you turn Ranked on it reverts the files and loads stock files.. which is what a ranked server is required to be by Insomnia and EA terms.. until they provide further support for new plugins.. im still waiting for BF2CC support.

Latest update: We're waiting for a new build from the bf2cc devs. In order for it to work with Cortex (or any other control panel for that matter) they need to do some work on it. We're working with them. We haven't been given an ETA from them since they are essentially doing this out of the kindness of their hearts. We hope to get their latest build soon though and throw it back into Cortex to make sure it works. We've had to jump a lot of hurdles to get it working, but the end of the race is in sight.
