Is it possible to block access from Nigeria?

Most probably you will need to get a list of all the IP blocks from Nigeria, then add them to your firewall deny list, this can be easily done on a Linux system with APF installed.

p/s: This will still not block Nigeria connection through proxy outside Nigeria though.

Like autoquartz said, just add the IP ranges to your firewall. I currently block .hk, .cn and .jp because I don't like them. Next on my hitlist is .fr and .ca

Google is your friend for finding the IP blocks owned by each country.

Speaking of this, it is an unfortunate situation, but it appears I will need to start blocking access by:
1.) location, getting rid of nigeria scam / fraud capitals, and
2.) any and all web proxies I can find
to at least slow these buggers down.

I have a classified site and the moment somone lists now they are getting 3-5 nigeria scam emails within 48 hours

What started out as a nuissance is now really hurting my site. These scam artists are possibly the worst virus/worm we've seen to date because they are so persistent. It's really unfortunate that they force me to lock out entire countries! Maybe we could just disconnect those countries from the Internet until they get their scam artists under control

The problem is that there is nothing forcing them to send their scams from Nigeria itself. Also, building proxy lists may be difficult as they're often compromised boxes and (thus) change IP a lot.

where do or would you find a ip block list from? for these countries - CN JP and HK north and south korea is going on the list too.
