I have a ranked BF2 server, which means I DO NOT have root access to the box.
What are the steps I should take to secure this box well. How can I get Windows updated and should I look into a firewall?
I want to make it pretty secure since I'll never get to look at what's going on with it. Don't want to sound paranoid but I've had my box hacked before and found it was being used as a warez site.
Would a firewall interfere with the game server? Do I just free up the ports it's using?

Since you have silver managed services you can submit a ticket and we'll make sure your system is all patched up. We aren't offering any other professional services for these boxes though.

Professional services being a firewall and other such protective measures?

Right now yes. This was originally to keep 3rd party software off the server. But you make a good point with security measures. I'll bring this up with the ones-that-know.

Thanks!
I just don't want to have another situation on my hands where the box has been compromised. I would never be able to tell unless I monitored bandwidth usages like a hawk.
