Full Version: Second Drive Installation Help

Hi,

I've had a BSD server for a while now and I just had a second drive put in. I'll be the first to admit I have very little experience with partitioning and mounting drives...is there someone willing to help me? I'll pay them for the time as I just need to mount it to an existing folder structure to a customers site I'm hosting.

Thanks,
Justin

Check `dmesg` for the device name for your new drive, use dd, disklabel, and newfs to create your slices and filesystems, then use mount to mount it, and edit /etc/fstab to make sure it mounts on boot.

That's the short version. This is explained in greater detail in the handbook.
