well if you registered a new domain then its probably working now but the global DNS servers have not propagated it yet...and that can take up to a week, but its usually within 72 hours.

Root nameservers for .COM/ORG/NET update within five minutes. I think Verisign changed this sometime last fall (correct me if I'm wrong?)
The TTL may still be in effect, so if you're changing NS records you'll get hit with that transition period, but that is only 48 hours.

I was wondering what changed. The last few domains I had purchased were up within minutes and I was astounded.

Yes, it is crazy that tickets take so long to get solved these days.
With the new management of TP, they must be cost cutting since all the money they lost with that big datacentre outage a couple of months ago.

Just submit a ticket and it will goto the appropriate department. The ticket may not always go to the same place. If you PM me or any staff member a ticket number we will try to escalate it.

We are not having any serious delays in standard ticket resolution, if you have an outstanding ticket, please PM me the ticket number so we can further investigate this issue.

Someone said it on a forum, so it must be true!
My tickets lately have been pretty quick. Every once in a while, they get lost but then if I (bump) them, someone picks them up again.

Hi James,
Thanks for your reply.
Although I appreciate your attention on these forums, and offers to escalate the ticket, shouldn't this be dealt with automatically, without people having to kick-up a fuss on these boards?
No, I'm going to see just exactly how long it takes TP to solve my ticket. It isn't even asking for any technical information, just a justification from ThePlanet as to why I should go ahead with my order for three new servers.

The reason for delay with this ticket is that it required help from our development team. Unfortunately, they are quite busy finalizing project Real Time to ensure that it rolls for the August 1st deadline. We recently picked up 2 people for our development team and will be picking up 2 more in the very near future. This will help us to iron out the kinks and help us offer new products faster as well.
We are also adding some effeciencies in August that should speed up support all around as well.

Thanh,
It's good to know that ThePlanet will be adding more staff soon.
Most of us do support you guys, and know that it's important that you survive successfully, as well as ourselves, but I think TP needs to urgently look at the support times, as they have increased crazily.
What used to be minutes, is now tens of hours.
Am looking forward to more product offerings arriving, and also the cost of some of your SM servers coming down!!
