Man, I'm not sure where to begin. I wouldn't think adding a new domain name to my DNS would be this big of a problem, but apparently I'm doing something wrong. I bought the domain name through GoDaddy, set the name servers to ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com -- so far so good, right? Ok well I add the IP zone through the WHM that my name server is on (which incidentally is a different server than where I plan to host my new site). After which I re-binded.
But whenever I type in the domain name in my browser, I get the message "The connection was refused when attempting to contact" my new domain name. Am I missing something?
Regards,
Cary

How long ago did you buy the domain and change your name server?

Last week. I'm a total n00b when it comes to this stuff. It WAS working for a couple hours, but now I'm getting that error, and I didn't change a thing.

it can take up to 48 hours after the domain settings are changed from Godaddy.com for them to become live.....

make sure the domain is pointed to the server where the dns record resides for the domain name .
