Hi,

On my dual xeon server under /WHM - Server Status,

I have a red light flashing for Disk sda1 (/boot) -- It is at 94% ... last week it was about 83%

As a novice, im not sure what to do at this point, my other drives for the site are at a low percent.

Any tips?

Thanks

In SSH, run: rpm -qa | grep kernel

See which kernels are old and you don't need anymore and remove them with rpm -e kernel-version

See which one you're currently using with uname -r

You can delete all of the kernels without SMP support, and figure out which SMP supported kernel is needed.

Since I am a novice, I submitted a ticket to the Planet to use my 1 hour of tech time to solve this issue... This is the reply I got back... now I am still stuck...

Your boot partition is currently 84MB full. We can not delete any files on your system as this is a liability risk. Please take note that this directory is very important. Therefore, please be cautious to what you delete as one little file can effect the whole system... I am not sure why they can't help me, if the drive made it to 100 percent full and failed.. I would have to submit tickets to have it repaired by the planet... the boot drive is still flashing red at 94%

The current specs of this partition:

root@daves [/boot]# du -hl /boot

12K /boot/lost+found

188K /boot/grub

84M /boot

Reply back telling them to bring your system up2date, and that in doing so they should remove the old files as your partition is critically full.
