I'm installing a 2nd hard disk on my Linux/cpanel server, primarily for cpanel backups.

Would it help performance to have /tmp point to this disk as well?

My primary disk is lightly loaded, fwiw.

No, it really wouldn't do anything by putting /tmp on the 2nd drive.
