I would like to transfer everything (domains, db's, email, dns, etc.) from one server to a new one. The new one has new IP's. Here's my general plan for accomplishing this, I would appreciate tips/advice on something I may be forgetting:

1. Backup all user accounts/domains from control panel (Plesk)
2. Restore to new server crossing fingers that everything gets transferred over correctly.
3. Point servermatrix DNS to new server

One question:

I have already done a backup/restore of Plesk to the new server and configured DNS on that server. I've also pointed the NIC to the internal name server IP's. If I'm browsing on that server, shouldn't the domains point to what's on that server? Because they aren't, the browser is just timing out. Or do I need to wait until I point the servermatrix DNS to the new server?
