Hi guys I have recently joined the forum having swapped from helping out admining a redhat server to having my own windows 2k3 box.

This is a really embarrassing question but having got into the remote desktop and loaded plesk what will the default username and password be?

I have tried my orbit username and password and my server's administrator username and password but these do not get me into plesk....

I don't use Plesk but saw this on their website, maybe it is worth trying

In orbit under passwords there should be a plesk pw in there the username is admin and the pw should be in there. If its not i would send a trouble ticket saying you dont see a pw in there for plesk. It should say plesk pw in the comments section.

Hope this helps

Probably one of the Plesk utils I use most often, plesksrvclient.exe, would be of assistance here. When entered via a cmd prompt when logged into RDP, it will pop up a little box with the Plesk/MySQL admin password.

Start >> Run >> type in cmd, hit enter.
CODE
cd C:Program FilesSw-SoftPleskadminbin

plesksrvclient.exe -get

Here is the documentation, hope this helps!

Note: Do pay attention to the warning there, as I appended two dashes --get initially when I first used the command, and ended up having to manually reset the password via mysql queries icon_smile.gif
