Well it looks like some people have issues while others do not. This poor guy has numerous servers not starting. Our test server starts. But VALVE has changed the query ports icon_razz.gif So any game monitoring programs show servers as not reachable. I may try the fix suggested in the post below for the query issue.

That's strange. Thanks for that info. So far I have no problems myself.

No news is good news when it comes to STEAM updates icon_razz.gif
DeadTed
Well I spoke too soon I guess. I'm getting that endless hang in steam updating some servers where it says "updating.." but nothing moves no files are coming down etc.

I wonder if the steam network is overloaded again icon_rolleyes.gif

It's a hassle to wait for a slow network but as long as nothing breaks I guess I can deal with it.

Mine is doing the same thing and telling me after an hour that it ran out of tickets or something.

Weird since it was fine yesterday.

May be due to the change in the server query which Valve introduced in this new update.
ECF
OK, Valve changed the query method around a bit with this update. The port remains the same but the query itself was changed a bit. I wonder if this has anything to do with the CAL plugin that will be released soon icon_rolleyes.gif

Yep I think Cortex fixed it last night since I got the updates working.

Ooh, somebody forgot to put in proper error checking icon_wink.gif

Meh, I bet I'm guilty of not checking for DNS errors in dozens of place icon_razz.gif

Thats generally caused by Cortex being unable to contact the update server. We're working on ways to make that a little more user readable. icon_smile.gif
