I am trying to find some free to low cost alternatives to cpanel and plesk that work on Virtuozzo VE's.

I am finding that cPanel and Plesk tend to use alot of memory and resources to operate, and I would like to find a "stripped" down, simple control panel, with ample features that can run on CentOS or Fedora systems.

Something that does not use along of memory or resources, but give someone with basic server skills, a little extra help in server management.

Anyone got any ideas or can you point me in the right direction??

DirectAdmin and Webmin/Usermin (free) are two potential choices. My very first dedicated server just had Webmin...

Plesk shouldn't use a lot of resources if installed and updated via Virtuozzo templates as there will be just one instance of each binary in memory and disk (unless modified). I'd suggest Plesk as the most suitable CP on a Virtuozzo system due to the tight integration and guaranteed support for as long as SWsoft maintain both Plesk and VZ.

Webmin works fine too though, it's got a smaller footprint but it'll work in a similar way (1 instance in memory/disk) if you create an application template and use that in each VE.
