Hi folks

We have 2 servers and one of them is a full time server and the secondary was set up for the secondary DNS in case of downtime of the main server. Both servers are in different NOC's

My question is that when my secondary DNS kicks in I cannot get the primary DNS to kick back in when it comes back up. I guess it is because i have not set the primary DNS as a master DNS and the Secondary DNS as a slave.

I need some info on how to set this up properly.. from scratch.

Can anyone help me out on how to set this up from scratch please??

thanks!

Are you running this on a Windwos box with Microsoft's DNS server or something else?
S3
dns requests will go to ns1 and ns2 randomly, I think, so they should both be set the same.
