Oh no, that is bad news, this means Urchin will be come more a webservice and we will have to pay monthly fees, and it not Google is going to integrate adwords, adsense and more things into it making it more a Google software then a Statistics software.

Hope they do not kill the Urchin as an installed software and play up the Urchin on Demand product.

oh my we've been selling agressively to our customers with Urchin as part of web hosting (with add. fees) if that is the case we'll be in troubled!

For that price, unless it's missing a decimal point, it better be about 100x better than urchin 5

I am really not sure why all those web log analyzers are so costly. In the past, I use to use webtrend which was great until they gave up on the software version and went only with the web edition and that was really pricey.. Now they brought back the software version but it is still not that cheap.

Urchin too. It is just too costly for the software and the monthly one is even more rediculous. But seriously if Urchin is making good money with what they are doing then Google is in for a good investment. To the shareholders, what is important is profits. I guess they are swinging with the other crowd.

I use Urchin because it is available but don't really find it that great to cost as much as it did.

hmmm, let's see Software vs. Service... I'm betting they're going to slowly kill the software.
