Full Version: .cpanelsync Failures

When I run the cPanel updater or get the nightly email for the upcp script, I see several failures such as this:

CODE
Fetching http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanelsync/STABLE/scripts/.cpanelsync....Trying httpupdate.cpanel.net @ 69.72.164.151

Error 404 while fetching url http://httpupdate.cpanel.net//cpanelsync/STABLE/scripts/.cpanelsync

...Done

Tried to download the sync file 10 times and failed!

Sure enough that URL returns a 404. If I replace 'STABLE' with 'RELEASE' a file comes up. Is this anything to be concerned about? I've seen this in my cron emails from the past few nights and saw it again just now when I tried a manual update.

Right now my server has the latest stable version on it. I'm just curious if another stable build gets released, would this .cpanelsync failure cause the update to abort?

go to /var/cpanel/version/

and remove all the last versions files. like. in case it was 9 your last update, you probably have 9.9.8 and 9.9.6.. etc..

then run /scripts/updatenow and give it a try.
