Hello,

i recently install some anti-virus(NOD32) software onto my server only to find out that it conflicts with my firewall(Tiny Personel Firewall) >.<

does anyone know any good/free firewalls i could use?

i was thinking of the windows firewall that comes with SP2, but i cant seem to get that onto win 2003 =/

-Thanks in advanced!

p.s. my OS is Windows 2003 Standard Edition

p.p.s. whats more important, anti-virus software or a firewall?

The Windows Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) is not compatible for use with multiple IP's. It simply won't do it's job.

Here is a link to a Tutorial on how to setup RRAS as a firewall:

I recommend F-Prot Antivirus, as I have been using it for some time and have never had any issues with the program nor have I had any virus's slip through. It's not free, but it's cheap, in the $30US range. As a second option I would recommend AVG File Server Edition. I also use this on other servers, but it's slightly more expensive than F-Prot.

Hope this helps you out!

would RRAS conflict with a game server?

since you have to open specific ports?
