Hi peeps,

Well after locking myself out my server due to sshd.conf errors, I want to make triple sure I have everything right.

According to uname -a im runnng 4.10-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.10-RELEASE #0: Wed Jan 26 11:43:55 CST 2005

Now i have done make install and make clean for cvsup-without-gui and its built fine.

Now im making the cvsupfile and I found this

*default host=cvsup2.FreeBSD.org - can set this to the planets cvs repos, I realise
*default base=/usr
*default prefix=/usr
*default release=cvs
*default tag=none
*default delete use-rel-suffix
*default tag=.
ports-all
doc-all

Now all I really want to do is upgrade to the latest stable release with all security/bugfixes. Last time I ran this I ended up running some screwed up version. Will this do the job in its current status
klaude
It's a lot easier to copy and modify the example files in /usr/share/examples/cvsup. Make sure that your default host is set to cvsup.theplanet.com and that default release is set to "cvs tag=RELENG_4". That will make sure you're downloading the latest 4.x stable source.
