SM responded saying that they aren't supporting it anymore. Your always free to install it yourself, but by doing so your waiving your managed services.

I've seen many threads here also aking for this and CentOS, so maybe they'll support it in the future.

Thanks, not what I had hoped for but....
Lets gt Gentoo back and running.

We support Redhat, Freebsd and Windows. We'd rather our support and admin staff be experts in what we do and not become a "jack of all trades, master of none". If you can install Gentoo remotely thats great, but it will void your SLA.

FWIW I love gentoo, but I'd hate to try to support in a large scale enviornment. icon_smile.gif

centos and fedora support should be similar to redhat's so these wouldn't deviate too much from the currently supports varieties.

Wouldn't that be a little too harsh of a consequence? It is almost the same as saying "You can install anything, but if it is not on an approved list, we will not guarantee to maintain network connection service, nor to fix your server hardware", isn't it?

Surely you don't mean doing that will void the SLA, right?

I understand RH gives a kick back for a data center who runs only there stuff...such is boz.
But to not support Gentoo is a shame.
It is so much better for gamers.

I365 could do well from it, may even make you sales go up.
So would Dual optron systems
